ABOUT US

The Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated (the “Lake Shore Chapter”) was chartered on January 20, 1996 in Chicago, Illinois.

The Co-Organizers of the Lake Shore Chapter were Links Carrie Lapsky Davis and Rita Wilson. Thirty-eight Link Sisters strategically pooled their resources to lay a strong foundation for providing holistic solutions to social and economic problems in communities on Chicago’s Westside. Our primary goals are to provide educational, cultural, and financial support to enrich the lives of families and underserved youth. Annually, the chapter raises funds for college scholarships, mentoring, and cultural enrichment programs for underserved youth. The Lake Shore Chapter also provides health fairs, career development programs and other initiatives designed to improve the quality of life for families.

Lake Shore Charter Officers:  Link Rita Wilson (President), Link Jacqueline Atkins (Vice President), Link Barbara Pinder (Recording Secretary), Link Sondra Few (Treasurer), Link BarBara Scott (Financial Secretary).
